Trained as a cabinet maker, he missed the process of making and the integration of craft elements so he decided to launch the ‘Scarpa’ chair. 
Based on the design of the traditional chairs from the Orkney Islands, the Scarpa chair is a marriage of contemporary frame making techniques and the traditional method of straw weaving, a technique unchanged for many centuries. For more information visit www.pengellydesign.com
