At the Collection we are, of course, big fans of wallpaper of all kinds!
None more so than one of our best-selling collections, State of Flow, the highly successful and extremely original patterned wallpaper by Lene Toni Kjeld. Toni is a Danish designer who lives and works in New Zealand.

State of Flow transitional wallpaper by Lene Toni Kjeld at the Collection
We first spotted State of Flow at the Milan Furniture Fair a number of years ago and we were entranced by its originality. Toni only had a small stand at the ‘Salon Satellite’ show and she had covered all three walls with her wallpaper in a very simple way.

There was her ‘Leaf’ motif which flowed into the Lace motif and it made us think of the layers of wallpaper you might uncover when re-decorating in an old house and how as you peel away the layers, you are uncovering the history of previous occupants.

State of Flow is a collection that truly reflects Toni’s working methods and style. And it is a concept that truly reflects the time in which we are living, it is a collection that is all about movement and individualism.
Movement in the way the wallpaper flows – changing form, colour and texture along the way, and individualism because it is a wallpaper which you can mix together to create your own individual story on the wall.

The Leaf design really brings to mind Dutch Delft patterns too, especially the Indigo version.
Why do we like this wallpaper so much?
For us it transcends time and we never tire of looking at it. Allison, the owner of the Collection, hung State of Flow wallpaper in a reading space in her previous house and she loves it so much she’s looking for the perfect spot for it in her new house.

We are really pleased to see that our customers are also huge fans of this wallpaper. And of course, we are always thrilled when customers share photos with us. We have received many photos from happy clients who are delighted to share with us the diverse ways they’ve pasted up State of Flow wallpaper.
It’s been used in restaurants, in homes, in waiting rooms, all over France and far beyond – but each time interpreted it a very personal way. Have a look here:
